By Anonymous September 25, 2003 Virginia Beach, Va. – RoomSaver.com, the Web’s most comprehensive source for hotel discounts, today announced that RoomSaver.com (www.RoomSaver.com) and Golf Card International (www.golfcard.com), are joining forces to provide travelers with discounts at over 3,700 golf courses across the U.S. and Canada.
Rick Murchake, General Manager of RoomSaver.com, stated, “We are pleased to team up with Golf Card International and offer our value-conscious travelers a membership to the Golf Card, which provides significant savings on thousands of golf courses.”
Golf Card International’s presence on RoomSaver.com’s Travel Resources will present travelers with a discount price for becoming a member of Golf Card International. In addition to discounts at over 3,700 golf courses in North America, the Golf Card also offers free greens fees at over 1,000 courses, “2 for 1” at many courses, discounts on Pro Shop purchases at select courses, as well as savings on golf packages at over 240 “Stay and Play” resorts.
While many other discount programs and clubs restrict weekend play, and limit use to off-season times, the Golf Card does not have seasonal restrictions and the vast majority of courses permit weekend play. To use the Golf Card, members simply identify themselves as a Golf Card member when they reserve a tee time and show the card when they arrive.
Golf Card President Bruce Hoster remarked, "We are excited to have this opportunity. Golf Card International expects to increase its membership through its partnership with RoomSaver.com, due primarily to RoomSaver.com’s appeal to value-conscious travelers."

By Anonymous May 5, 2004 -- "Link Up 2 Golf" Clinics Accommodate Groups Up To 24
Burroughs & Chapin Golf Management has announced that Grande Dunes Golf Club is now hosting "Link Up 2 Golf" corporate golf clinics for groups up to 24. The primary objective of the six-week program is to create a fun and relaxed environment for intermediate skill level players. The clinics are available Monday through Thursday, from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. Each participating corporate organization can choose to host their clinic on one set day per week for the entire six-week course.
The "Link Up 2 Golf" clinic demonstrates pitching, chipping and putting fundamentals, as well as "specialty" shots and bunker play. Additionally, clinic participants learn the rules of golf and the basics of golf course management. During Week 4, the clinic holds a Par 3 Tournament, which is followed by a Final Exam Class Tournament during Week 6.
"’Link Up 2 Golf’ should be a great outing and stress reliever for all of its participants," said Robert Harper, general manager of Grande Dunes Golf Club & Academy. "The relaxed atmosphere and informal teaching format of this clinic offers an opportunity to enhance a golfer’s current playing skills among friends."
The cost of the "Link Up 2 Golf" clinic is $129 per person, but all participants are encouraged to bring a partner or spouse, which enables both to participate for $99 each. Each clinic must consist of at least eight participants and can accommodate up to 24 participants. The corporate golf clinics are taught by the Grande Dunes Golf Club PGA golf professionals.
